Emir cümleleri (imperatives) fiille başlar; bir kural ya da istek bildirir:
- Listen to your teacher. → Öğretmenini dinle.
- Raise your hand. → Elini kaldır.
- Be quiet. → Sessiz ol.
- Keep the classroom clean. → Sınıfı temiz tut.
- Respect your friends. → Arkadaşlarına saygı göster.
Olumsuz emir: Don’t + fiil
- Don’t run in the corridor. → Koridorda koşma.
- Don’t eat in class. → Derste yemek yeme.
- Don’t shout. → Bağırma. · Don’t use your phone. → Telefonunu kullanma.

İzin isterken: Can I + fiil …, please?
- Can I come in, please? → İçeri girebilir miyim?
